Full Medical Discharge

“Full medical discharge” The words have been rolling around in my head for the last 24 hours.

Yesterday, 26 long, hard months after being medically evacuated from Afghanistan with a back injury, the hubster finally received the confirmation that he will be recommended for medical discharge from the army.

Both of us have very mixed feelings on this at the moment and needless to say, it’s all a bit emotional. We always “knew” it would be the outcome eventually, but now it has finally been confirmed.

The next step will be for his name to be put forward to sit a med board, to further confirm that the “powers that be” agree with the recommendation, this is more or less just army red tape. Fairly soon after that we should be given a discharge date.

So, with the knowledge that we have another wait ahead of us I ask the powers that be one thing; The decision is made, please get this ball rolling, give us back our lives, we have served you long enough.
